About Walnut LLC

Walnut LLC was founded in October 2023 with the mission "Building markets for things that matter."

We operate three services — overseas product distribution into Japan, sales growth support for domestic regional producers, and public-private regional value editing. The scopes differ (a single product, a single business, an entire region), but the essence is shared: implementing the structures through which genuinely valuable things reach the right markets.

The name "Walnut" refers to the nut tree symbolizing wisdom, integrity, and steadfastness across classical traditions. We embrace these principles — learning from classical wisdom, delivering value with sincerity, and building things that endure.

Shunsuke Fujinuma

Representative Partner

Nine years at the Tochigi Prefectural Government — including a two-year secondment to Ashikaga Bank — gave Fujinuma a foothold in both administrative and commercial frontlines. After independence, he ran one of Japan's top public-service blogs (around 6M PV/year), then served as COO of a regional DMO before founding Walnut LLC in 2023.

His core strength is "editorial capacity" — distilling what the counterpart truly needs and transforming raw material into measurable outcomes across public, private, and entrepreneurial contexts.
